How I got into Photography
I have always been passionate about photography, from experimenting as a kid with my Polaroid and 110 cameras, to discovering that my camera could capture art in high school. I always had a camera in my hand and would take pictures of landscapes, birthday and holiday celebrations to candid photos of friends and family portraits. I learned to develop my own film and took classes in Photography. In 1998, I decided to turn my passion into a business called Creative Exposures.
My business started with taking family portraits for friends and family. Many people recommended my work and I soon received many requests and for my portraits. Then, I was asked to photograph a coworker’s wedding—it was that day I realized just how much I love the excitement, the atmosphere, and the joy of creating a memory for people on the happiest day of their lives.
My gift is making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. Capturing the beauty of the moment, the little details, providing memories for years to come, and knowing the importance of photographs are the reasons why I continue to love my art.
Creative & Organized
I specialize in providing the perfect mix of candid and formal shots capturing connections between people. My relaxed and comfortable demeanor allows me to effortlessly direct guests when staging individual and group portraits. All of my photos highlight excellent composition, lighting, and color that illuminates even the tiniest details in the setting.
Photo Booth: Fun, Enjoyable and Entertaining!
A photo booth is great fun and interactive entertainment for all of your guests, even those who do not usually like their picture taken. Just a few years ago I added this service, and have found it to be an absolute hit. People love to jump in a photo booth with their friends and snap some hysterical and goofy pictures.
DJ Services
Photographing weddings for 13 years has given me a sixth sense for the wedding flow, so much so that I ended up helping the DJs make announcements and directing the wedding events. So this, along with my love of music, was the start of my DJ business.
My Team
Now you ask, when booking more than one service how can one person photograph, video, and DJ my wedding at one time? I love the art involved in all the services that I offer, but I cannot do them alone. I have a team of professionals that have been with me for over 10 years. Each one of them is visually talented and skilled in the art of photography or videography. They are professional, and have been trained to ensure your wedding or event runs smoothly without intruding. I am happy, and proud, to say that I would put my companies name on any of their work.
My Life
I am very happy to be in a business that I love. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment to capture extraordinary moments and help people preserve memories of special events in their life.
When I’m off work I am passionate with landscape and wildlife photography. Many of my vacations are based around breath-taking views and my photography. Photography is something I love to do and I consider myself lucky to be able to do it for a living.
